Tap to give: New bar top giving devices make it easy to donate whilst enjoying Leicester’s nightlife
November 1 2024 1:36 pmGive Leicester is making it even easier for people to help homeless people in Leicester this winter. With funding support from the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID), we’ve introduced 8 new bar-top tap-to-give devices in pubs and bars across Leicester, allowing you to donate £3 with a quick tap whilst you sip your beverage. For less than the price of a pint, patrons can directly support Help The Homeless Leicester, the local charity receiving 100% of donations raised through GIVE Leicester’s 2024 winter campaign.
You’ll find these new devices at popular locations around the city, including:
- Tonne
- The Globe
- The Real Ale Classroom
- Cafe Bruxelles
- Firebug
- The Exchange
- Queen of Bradgate
- The Marquis Wellington
With the added convenience of bar-top giving, residents and visitors can now easily support those experiencing homelessness, even on a night out.
Since launching in 2021, Give Leicester has raised over £57,000 to benefit local charities addressing homelessness, thanks to the generosity of Leicester’s community. Your £3 donations fund essential services such as food, warm clothing, housing support, and more, while helping individuals find long-term stability and empowerment.
Together, let’s continue building a stronger, more compassionate Leicester with just a tap. Visit our donation points and make a difference in someone’s life today.
